Incredible landscapes, astonishing ice formations, diversified wildlife, numerous opportunities for scientific work and studies…. Antarctica provides beautiful photographs!

From May 11th until June 5th, 2017, a set of fifty pictures taken on the white continent and around are exposed in the ArtLab building at EPFL, Lausanne Switzerland. This exhibition shows the results of a photograph competition, organized by the Council of Managers of National Antarctic Program (COMNAP) and the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR). An international panel of experts judged the competition. David Walton, chief scientist of the ACE expedition, was part of it.

On this occasion, images and videos of the ACE expedition around Antarctica, which took place from December 2016 to March 2017, are also presented.
