Remote Scientific Fieldwork & Social Dynamics Course

29th May 2024 @ 10:00 am - 4:30 pm

Fieldwork is an integral part of geoscience research. A positive and supportive group culture is an essential part of ensuring that field teams can be maximally productive and safe during field campaigns.

In this course led by Mylène Jacquemart, postdoctoral researcher at ETH Zurich, we will cover leadership and communication tools that can help field team members, regardless of their position in the team, contribute to creating such a positive environment. Topics to be covered include:

  • how to build and use codes of conduct (also referred to as norms agreements or positive working environments),
  • leadership roles and styles,
  • decision making styles,
  • debriefing as a risk management tool.

The registration is mandatory, please register by completing this form. Thank you!
