The Akademik Treshnikov reached Bremerhaven, Germany, yesterday, thus completing the expedition’s fourth leg. In a way, this is a second ending for ACE. The 14 scientists disembarked, and the offloading of all the containers and sample-boxes is now underway. In a few days, the boat and its Russian crew will set sail again, this time back home: the harbour of St-Petersburg.
L’Akademik Treshnikov est arrivé hier au port de Bremerhaven, en Allemagne, complétant ainsi la quatrième partie de l’expédition. C’est une sorte de deuxième fin pour ACE. Les 14 scientifiques qui étaient à bord ont débarqué, et les opérations de déchargement des containers et des échantillons collectés durant tout le voyage ont maintenant commencé. Dans quelques jours, le bateau et son équipage russe reprendront la mer pour rejoindre leur port d’attache: St-Petersbourg.
