On the occasion of the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26), the Geneva Cryosphere Hub will host a series of sessions on the research carried out in Swiss research institutions on the cryosphere, the frozen environment of our planet, and facilitate a dialogue between science, society and policy.
SPI organises the session “Contributing to climate science through research in polar and high-altitude regions: the early-career researchers’ point of view” on 11 November, from 13:00 to 14:00. A panel of early-career scientists will introduce the great thematic variety of research conducted in polar regions. They will also outline their ambitions, their enthusiasm for these regions and how their work informs global climate questions and mechanisms.
