The EC has confirmed a call topic within its research and innovation framework programme Horizon 2020 dedicated to research on the cryosphere, earmarking over €40 mio in 2019.
The call topic LC-CLA-07-2019: “The changing cryosphere: uncertainties, risks and opportunities” includes subtopics on sea-level changes, changes in Arctic biodiversity, and sustainable opportunities in the Arctic which are expected to be tackled by international consortia involving a range of disciplines. Moreover, funding is available for the development of standards for cold-climate technologies and services. Deadline for stage-1 proposal submissions is 19 February 2019.
