In 2015, the Swiss Polar Institute (SPI) was created as a dedicated service and logistics provider for the Swiss polar and remote high-altitude science community. From 2021, the SPI enjoys a new national status and launched a call for the first series of Swiss polar programmes. These steps will significantly increase the opportunities and impact of Swiss polar science at the “three poles” in the coming years.
The online event will feature a brief presentation of SPI’s enhanced portfolio, an overview of Switzerland’s scientific footprint in high latitudes and altitudes and new opportunities for international collaboration.
The event was held online on Wednesday 26 May 2021 from 17:00-18:00 CEST (UTC+2).
